so the XUV300 might not pack as many features as some others, but that’s probably why it’s more budget-friendly. Sure, you won’t find fancy stuff like dual-zone climate control and different steering modes, but you still get some cool perks like a sunroof, climate control, automatic headlights, cruise control, and nifty connected car technology. Now, if you check out rivals like the Nexon EV Max and the MG ZS EV, they’ve got some extra bells and whistles like cooled seats, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof.
If you’ve seen the XUV300, you may recognize the XUV400’s dashboard. It has a lovely touch with the new hue, glossy black parts, and cool blue backlighting. The trip computer and climate control narrow plastic switches, meanwhile, look a little fiddly, so we can’t help but feel Mahindra might have improved them. Still, in today’s configuration, physical controls are a plus.
In relation to improvements, a more contemporary touchscreen would have been fantastic. Rather, we receive the outdated Mahindra 7-inch device, which lacks brightness. However, Android Auto and Apple Carplay are dependably dependable, and the touch reactions are respectable.
Just like before, the plastics are top-notch, and the overall fit is as good as it gets in this category. The glossy black switches could be a bit livelier, but the new shifter is a joy to use with its cool copper trim and smooth rubberized finish. While there aren’t many soft surfaces beyond the usual touchpoints, that’s pretty standard for this type of product.
